"Chewy" weighs approx. 96# & stands approx. 27 and 1/2" tall at the shoulder. He's a good sized boy. He's "MY" dog (or I'm HIS??) and he KNOWS it!! He likes to "hold" my hand in his mouth and take me for walks. He'll "protect" when he feels the need to. He's "top dog" here and he don't let the other dogs forget that. On the other hand, he is "fair" in his treatment of them and has never "hurt" any of them even while "disciplining" them for getting out of line. He's full of energy and loves to jump, run, swim, and play. He also knows how to settle down and be a "house dog" when it's called for. He had never been around kids before, but when my 2 yr. granddaughter, "Katie" came to visit, Chewy made sure the other dogs stayed away from her and he was gentle with her. When I broke my foot, he stays at my side and lets me hold onto his hair to balance myself while we walk. "Chewy" is a Wonderful dog!! Very loyal.



While Chewy has MANY champions in his pedigree and he could no doubt be a Champion himself, he has never been "shown". He is strictly my friend and companion. As such, he is not "groomed" and made to look "pretty", so none of his pictures really do him justice. He is a very beautiful dog when he is cleaned up and groomed. But, he is a very HAPPY dog Just "being a dog" and running loose on the farm in his "natural" hair do, and siring Show Quality Puppies for buyers who want the Best in quality and in a loyal friend!
